Thanks! Offset is slightly adjustable, range is 4.5" to 5" from center of yawtube to center of shaft. Prop is only 4' diameter, 2 blade, GOE222 profile. Sometimes think I should have gone to 5', and trimmed down if needed, oh well. The "generator" is tilted back approx 5 degrees, thinking I should have gone 10, or mounted gen a tad further forward. Looks like I'll have 12" clearance between prop and tower stub.
Chopped pivot tube off tail section tonight, just was not happy with it on several levels, wall was too thin, I should have cut it 1" longer, and since I did not, the notched section did not fit well. On top of that the tail barely clears the generator when it furls, by re-doing it, it will gain clearance. If I was doing it again I'd mount the gen lower.
I plan on welding a 3" section of all-thread off the end of the tail, if I need to add weight thats where it will go. Covering for the tail will be Dacron, glued and heat shrunk, then painted with silver paint for UV protection, then exterior Latex paint.
A big part of my decision to do the smaller one first was just wanting to get a better feel for the interconnectivity of the various parts, its getting a whole lot easier to see.
