we might be able to work something out!  i'm guessing the #8 is for a "two in hand" wire run...  IE (2) 200' chunks??  i don't have 400', but i do have 200+ foot i could easily part with!  i'd have to see what it's worth...  not the home depot by the foot price (total ripoff!) but in the 500' roll pricing.  the wire is new stranded copper still on the roll.  red in color.

i'd gladly pay any difference, though i'm guessing shipping that much wire might be more than 7 bucks.  maybe i could cram it in one of those flat rate boxes??

I can get 400 feet for $160 on ebay, yes I am running 2 in hand from the panels to the house, 100 foot run.

i did the numbers on what i paid for the wire.  200' (2/5's of the roll) works out to 65.  i think it would fit in a flat rate box for 11.35.  total of 76.35.   so i'd owe you 85.65 to make it work out for the gold. 

i understand if you'd rather just get iit all at the same place, and avoid the hassle of buying it at two different places.  either way, let me know.
