Kenetic Motion Charger
« on: September 08, 2012, 07:04:59 PM »
Hi All,

I am considering building a kenetic motion charger powered by human motion. My application is a tight fit and there is no room for a method used like shaking recharable flashlights. I was wondering if I used a round coin style magnet and put a doughnet around it and then wrapped the doughnet in wire and spun the doughnut around the magnet would it make electricity?

Less than $5 including shipping gets you a wind up usb charger plus adapters.

There was a company that claimed to be ready to release a pocket pager style kinetic charger, and there was a shoe cell phone battery charger. I'm not sure you will get enough useful energy just walking around to make this worth having to wear another device.
