new old stock?
has it been on a maintenance charge?
how long has it been sitting?
what is the specific gravity reading on the cells now?

if it has been sitting in a partially charged state it could be badly sulfated, and/or the electrolyte might be stratified, which is really hard on the bottom of the plates.

has it been kept inside?

has it had a capacity test run on it?

all these and other questions should be answered to determine if the battery has value.

i ask these questions, because of a guy in renton washington advertizing a forklift battery he had being only 2 years old, turns out it was allowed to sit dead out in the middle of a field over at least two winters... no amount of explaining how batteries sulfate, and freeze could convince him it was likely worth no more than its weight in lead.
