It's likely this hurricane will be reduced to post-tropical-storm strength levels by the time it rolls into Southern Arizona, where I am, but noting it:

Ironically, have scheduled some major modifications to the system on the day when the rare hurricane comes to town, so I don't know whether the mods will be postponed or what.

I would hold off on the work until the threat of power outages is past. You don't want to be under pressure to get it done now as your freezer is thawing out...
