That tool could be so handy to build a stator form to hold the coils for an axial flux alternator.
A stator that is in 3 or 4 sections would be a great step for builders. Similar to casting individual coils like kitestrings. A great advantage to have when the alternator needs to be serviced. The stator can be removed and the rotors can be left in place.
The way the 3D technology is advancing, I would not be surprised if a high temperature PLA that we can use is in the works now and be available soon.
