Poll: Make User Diaries visible to all users?

Currently, the User Diaries sub-forum is visible only to Fieldlines members when they are logged in.
Do you prefer the User Diaries sub-forum this way; only visible to Fieldlines members, or would you like it to be visible to all visitors of Fieldlines?

The question came up in a discussion between some of the administrators of the site, and whether there's any benefit to keeping some discussions among the members only.  If there's a strong feeling that way, we'd respect it.  But I figured it would be worth asking to judge how many regular users care.  I have asked the same question of the Pub sub-forum, which is also currently only visible to members when they're logged in.  Maybe there's a different answer for each one - we can deal with that and open one and not the other, if that's the prevailing opinion.

I'll quote a bit of summary:

Pros:

• Much better SEO
• More people could join
• More ads revenue
• More traffic

Cons:

• People could see a bit off-topic stuff and join for that instead of alternative power. Still, more users.
• Some people could throw a fit about making the board public for privacy reasons? Don't think so to be honest but it's an idea, even though I can't see any personal informations or something that would absolutely need to be private (it's a public board upon registration anyway).

It's specifically The Pub by the looks of it, there was some kind of inconsistency with permissions that was making it visible and didn't notice (mainly board and section settings). Sorry for the confusion, it's just The Pub section.
Site News and Diaries are visible.

There are two diary sections "logged on user diarys" and another diary section that you can see if your not logged in on the open forum.

We might have to re-do the poll then, it was meant for The Pub, not only for user diaries, which are actually public by the looks of it, due to weird permissions...

The way I built this potently any section can be "logged in" not just the Pub.... you just change the user permissions.

"Logged in users", then you have 2 sections that are public and one only for logged in users. That's a bit counter-intuitive and what made me think they were all the same... Silly me for not double-checking, incidentally I had only checked the pub, which is the only one that is actually for logged in users only

The Users Diaries are out on open of the forum, and is visible to "Guests" Mostly this is for special projects and must/should be RE related.   

The logged in Diaries are more of a cultural nature like food hiking or what ever anyone can think of. Traditionally the Pub has been the place for this kind of thing, but this section has the same permissions as the Pub

 we have lost some pictures, I started to notice this about a week ago. this topic has the this issue the first couple of pictures were awesome but there gone now.

Except they do not, and that's what I've been saying for the last few days. The Pub is NOT public, open it with an incognito window if you don't believe me. And this is what we'd be voting on, whether to keep it "private" or make it the same as other sections, public.

I like the community approach Flavio, our admins and GM's are running the show and volunteer there time here. There ideas about the forum out weigh mine
