weather data search
« on: June 13, 2021, 05:20:20 PM »
I was trying to find data for this area's sun to cloud ratio. We live in an area with a lot of cloudy days or partially cloudy times. I was trying to find information out on NOAA's site, but got a bit lost. I know that our local airport has daily weather and weekly forecasts, but is there an easier way to find a real history for considering solar panels? Thanks Kent

Try googling the NREL website for solar data.

If you use PVWatts, it accounts for the average cloud cover, and how it varies at times during the year.

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.
