Homemade Steam Engines
« on: March 13, 2022, 05:11:45 AM »
This guy uses common junk parts to build himself a steam powered car and a steam engine to power a generator and other equipment. He burns junk wood for heat.

Very handy for rural areas or for emergency power.

I have seen this type of development before and I think its great :)

As someone who is a pioneer with steam engine development in the 21st century, also have multiple US Utility patents related to external combustion.

There is one thing that tops my interest its steam engine classification. These "low pressure" engine systems are great, just as we erect turbines safety is paramount. I think we have that.

One thing on the video...  I did see a lift check on the safety valve. Were only talking 125lbs but that measurement was taking continuous. Volume is the key,

Also I was scalled by  steam engine pier?

This engine motion is "Steam Punk"

I still like the work put into that video

Not on that wimpy output shaft! That kind of torque can shear a standard V8 car driveshaft!(don't ask me how I know...)
