Although this dynamo is especially designed for the hub of the front wheel of a bicycle, the idea can also be used for a PM-generator of a small wind turbine with a rotor diameter of about 1 m. As the generator has no iron in the coils, it has almost no friction torque and the starting wind speed will therefore be very low.
