Ignorance is not bliss, You may not know there is a semie behind you but you'll still be a hood ornimant!

Nothing fails like prayer, Two hands clasped in work will achieve more in a minute then a billion will in a melenia in prayer. In other words go out and do some real good by helping!

Those are fascinating pictures XP.  Thank you!

There are a lot of spliced wires going in and out of the battery faces.  Are those your modifications or did the batteries come like that?

No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.

(Attachment Link)

Those are for the cell heaters, they use two 1450watt pad heaters running off the 77v dc rail (So One battery rack has 2, so a total of 6 in the assembly as a whole)

That battery is factory I have done 0 to it at this point other then recovering the cell stacks by a very low constant current charger (24v 4Amp lead acid charger)

Thanks for the confirmation.

That helps me see the picture.
Any company that makes battery stacks like these ones, with extruded-profile cases, 19-inch rack mounting, Aerospace standard power receptacles, day-glow high-voltage power cables, and military circular connectors, has really screwed the pooch when they also have wires slipping in and out of the cooling vents, crimp-spliced to heating pads.

Did somebody say "last minute change in engineering"!?

and uses two small course thread screws into the phenolic resin to retain the DC- cables!

Top shelf components, bottom shelf assembly in a lot of areas, the connectors are bolted! so easy to re task for your own stuff.

12v and 24v DC-DC converters too!  400 dollar contractors! good grab bag of goodies

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/155239081667?    < BMS I got for doing 48V

https://www.ebay.ca/itm/403912335120?    < BMS for 25V

I'd recommend getting the touch screen with it, far more useful to get stats with out needing phone

if you get the battery any ways

Well, for now I'm the high bidder.  But a lot can change in 2 weeks.

Thanks for the tips!

Well 1 year to date and the one battery set has done great. Traded the old lead acid bank and its accessories for the winters sheep feed, feel naked with out it, so guess time to get the last ones online and make a fire proof enclosure for them!

Still have a lot of the spare parts, if any interested! Second set was no steal like the first heavy swelling in some, so just use them till they pop and save, save, and save some more to buy some lithium iron phosphates for when they go.

As they say, can't win them all, they did recover to full rated voltage.

6 total this season, sadly the 7th required some lead supplement, but the fox will have a very healthy litter of pups so natures balance is held.

Well after a years break I finally started on the second battery assembly, it is a spicy one so will need to be built into a vented fire proof box.

BMS is fun to watch, sort of like paint drying but yet captivating.

I use a 30v smart charger to balance the one out stack.

more of the last stages of balancing

Last couple days been trying to get it to 100% to set the capacity meter. Next is fabricating the main interface, will be a buss bar system designed to do 23kw cont, and 42kw surge will have 4 to 4 plugs to allow fast and easy connections of battery modules or chargers, and other sort of meters & diagnostics.

and last one is an update as to the state of the first one I got online.

Interesting how the different cells change from green to blue or red and not the same cell showing the changes.
I'm guessing this will settle down once the unit it at 100% .

Still a great score!!
Cheers

I got it loosely tied in hoping the activity will perk it up, it is now nearly perfectly balanced. I picked up some aluminium bars to make a proper buss

Will post some bms shots once I get the tracker drive fabricated.
