Any deals on Solar Panels, etc ??
« on: February 20, 2023, 03:41:08 PM »
Looking into adding solar to my Son's house. Figure 10 panels/ batteries, inverter to start. Energy bill runs around $150.00/month until summer. Has a fireplace that I can mod for MUCH better output for winter. Just no wood available, YET.

This is a bad question to ask.
Historically here used panels have a number of pitfalls, users dont like them, water contamination bunch of other stuff.

Used panels can go bad, but they can be repaired:

Deals can be had from bulk sellers.  I come across them sometimes, but I have never been in the market for enough (100+) to investigate.

If you only want a dozen, then Kijiji and Ebay are the target you need.  Auctions come up from time to time.
No one believes the theory except the one who developed it. Everyone believes the experiment except the one who ran it.
