Online image resizer tool
« on: July 25, 2007, 07:39:12 PM »
This online tool might be helpful for those that have hi-res digital images of their projects but don't have any image editing software.

There are other size editing sites but this seemed fairly easy to use - just set the horizontal pixel size to say 640.

It might help save a bit of fieldlines bandwidth, and maybe Kurt's patience :)

Just open your Picture in Imaging Right click on the body of the picture go to properties select the resolution drop to dpi set for 100  x100 dpi and save .

Right click on the Icon of the picture in It's folder and right click to the properties

to verify .

If it's image editing software your lacking grab GIMP. Open Source free use software and it's not relying on your Internet connection to be connected or fast as it installs on your hard drive.. only one long wait then :-p Much better arrangement if you have dial-up as your not sending a huge image up your tiny upstream bandwidth (almost impossible for the truly impatient or frequently disconnected) and then waiting to get it back. Plus what happens if the server for the online tool gets overloaded or goes off line?

Plus GIMP works for all of us as it's cross platform ;-) Windows/Mac/Linux-BSD-Unix-Solaris

Now I think where the online tools really shine is for times when you can't install software like a borrowed or public computer!
