Hi jerry these ecm motors make great mills as far as i can tell the 1 hp has been up for about a week now and i have had very little wind. by reading the battery voltage
it must be doing something since voltage has risen. I only got to watch the amp meter
1 time with a gust of wind and saw 5 amps going to battery my location is teraible
in a valley lots of trees so winter is best when leaves are off.
i wired mine with #10 wire 3 pairs one for each coil down to rectifiers by battery since it imposible to work on mine wile on the pole.
Mine also weighs about 35 lbs i think i my switch my wireing this winter
to a seiries and try the transformer thing again dont know if this will work with the 50' runs down the pole. the 12 hp motor with the ciols in the right seiries
wiring config at the motor and a standred 24 volt furnace transformer works great
rectifiy on 24 volt side of transformer with this setup there is allmost no coging at all
and schould start verry easy i would recomend a 2 blade prop but since mine has a 3
blade that how it will stay untill i have to take it down george
