Hi Hiker
Sorry no pitures yet. Its a 1 hp garbage disposal motor. Built from scratch plywood end caps. Bearings from Lowes .625 bore ($5.97 each) they also have the same shaft matereal.
I also used some square washers from from Lowes from there cement construction area.
These washers are 1/4" thick 2.5" square. So I stacked up 8 of them for the 1"X2"X1/2" bar NEOs from our host.
I cut the corners off the washers to form an octigon. I used the magnet end caps from some small car speakers (5.25" to 6.5") .
I drilled out the centers to .625" (5/8") and then taped them with 1/4"X20 as a way to ancher the armature to the shaft.
Also used the other steel part of the speakers magnet circut to make a retainer for the bearings.
I'll reasign wire conections of the motor tommorow. I'll do some pix and a more detailed description when complete and tested.
I'm hoping the bar magnets work as well as the extinked #29 curved NEOs?
