Initial 59" HAWT testing

It is my initial plan to test the Mallad 800E aka Hornet at my Napa wind test site as there has reportedly been more of these blades produced than any oher.





Unfortunately they did not produce any power in less than 11 MPH which is above my average wind speed.

the "E" also can convert to 24v.

have you tried that, to charge 12v at lower speeds?

should kick in at like 5 mph.

if you have a larger battery bank no switching needed.

you could auto switch by wind speed.
