all coils are same side up...

wired in series for max volts..

the middle phase doesnt have to be flipped over [right? ]....

dont realy want to have to rewire......

If it is 12 magnet 9 coil and you want delta, yes it is ok.

Umm, something just doesn't quite look right in that diagram.




This is what I always thought was series 3 phase wiring....









In your diagram you've got the end of phase one shorted to the start of phase two, end of phase two shorted to the start of phase three, and in turn the end of phase three shorted to the start of phase one.  All the yellow wires in other words just make it one big circle with no output point.  The three yellow wires should start at the three ends and go to your three sets of diode rectifiers.  The purple wires can be joined together and be made one wire going to the other side of the rectifiers.  




In my diagram I just swapped left for right of what you're trying to do...... I'm a southpaw after all, whaddya excpect?!?  LOL

Hi Hiker,


 Its almost right for single phase and max volts. Im guessing you've already casted your stator. Not too sure fliping the coils is that critical. If you want to get series output(single phase) you need to disregard the blue writing of your diagram. I noticed all 9 coils are wired into a closed circuit. Taping off at your 1,2,3, point's(blue writing) is going to be a problem as you have closed the circuit at wiring connectios "1-s"(in yellow) and "3-e". Open that connection and put 1-s and 3-e input into a standard bridge rectifier. Forget your powerout(blue) inputs and "leave the rest unchanged". By ignoring the blue connections(leaving then 'open') you can feed a simple bridge recifier from 1-s and 3-e, voila you have a single phase machine. Or dont use a bridge and get 120vac from connections 1-s and 3-e, which one is neutral, is anyones best guess.

With the ceramics, it may be a good idea to leave the starts and ends out of the casting. Just in case it needs more volts.

Delta, in the sketch, is going to have higher cut in, lower volts and higher amps.

Star is going to have lower cut in, higher volts and lower amps.

Image compression, yo!

Get the full version of Irfanview with all the plugins. It's freeware.

Use PNG or JPG. PNG is lossless, and is great for simple images, like what you've got posted there. That's simple in terms of images with large, uniformly colored areas.


Saved with Irfanview's own PNG routines, that BMP file there is only 10,422 bytes. With the multipass PNGOut setting, it's 6,089 bytes, all compressed with no loss of image data at all. :)

Okay, that's my tech advice for now.
