The hub which is made of 3" abs with a 4" end cap and 4" to 3" adapter.
Had to adapt because the 3" spare pipe I had did not have a big enough foot print to bolt on the bearings from a caster.

Here is the hub again with the spokes going through.
The holesthrough the 3" abs did not properly line up which worked out good as it created some friction to hold the 3/4" pvc spoke.
Also drilled holes though the pvc connector so that I could extend the spoke and change sails and sail designs without having to start from scratch.

Here's a sail made with 12" vinyl tile attached by a 3/4 inch pvc hinge to the 1/2 inch pvc frame.
pvc to vinyl glue is reallllllly solid!

This shows the holes in the sail where I can attach the elastic.
Drilled several so that I can experiment.
Does anyone know the name of the rope which does the same on a real sail boat?
attaches the sail to the end of the spar.

This photo show a pvc connect on the same hinge as the sail.
I did not glue this connector on because I hope to use it later to restrict the angle which the sail can travel through.

I will take and post some pictures of the entire thing assembled and deployed soon.
I think it's at least going to look very cool.
maybe I'll get my daughter to paint it for me.
