Big Bearing

These are real big thrust bearings! An old friend gave them to me. He said they were out of a rotary cab in a forestry machine. I guess 2500 lbs thrust bearing?

I was thinking they need to be put into some heavy vawt project. Joe

i think your right. if you can get the thing mounted securly to a base and to the rotating section, it might help to eliminate a top pin or guy wires.

or what about using then as a hawt yaw bearing over a free-standing tower. you could build a pulley system that would lower it down the tower...

How about using it for the yaw bearining on a 100 kw to 1 mw unit?  B-)
