Got panels in Colorado?
« on: September 27, 2006, 12:35:29 AM »
I submitted my information to Xcel and because I put my panels on a tracker, they're giving me about $3.50/watt rebate instead of $2.50! I just need to fill out the contract and send it back to them. I heard from my installer that a guy just got his check and whole process took less than a month. I took them less than a week to send the contract to me from the time I faxed in my information. Last time I checked, the offer expired October 1 but I can't seem to find that information now so perhaps they are extending it.

This rebate is good for off-grid homes anywhere in the state of Colorado. Here's the link.

Let's see... What to do with $2300... I know MORE PANELS!

Check this out.

I called today and they're giving me credit for my HOMEBREW panels, that's freakin unbelievable! I give them a receipt for $425 of raw solar cells and they send me a check for $1000. They're also giving me credit for the 160W of BP panels I have on my garage. I'm looking at almost four grand now.

I've got to maintain this system for 20 years but what the heck, I was going to do that anyway.
