I am making a small 8 footer twin rotor turbine with whatever I can get my hands on or have lying around. Being in the UK everything except our broadband of course is more expensive (I quote Rip off Britain) it certainly is.
any way I ordered my magnets just 2 weeks ago from Magnet_Master off of Ebay a bargain $84 for 24 2*1*.5 had to pay VAT when they got here but still a bargain.
While I was waiting for the magnets to come I made the props, they are made from some builders yard pine. I got a bit lucky with the pine every time I need a bit of wider pine I go to the same yard, they don't normally have anything over 6 inches but they quite often have some returns or uncollected special order timber, well they had a bit of pine 13 foot long 9 inches by 2 inches cabinet maker grade normally £20 from jewsons but only £8 from them. They should have let me have it for nothing realy as they didn't refund the builder as he had used some of the original length. So the blades are actually 4 foot 2 inches long making a diameter of 8 foot 4 inches, it seemed a shame to waste even 6 inches of this timber.

Here is another pic front view of a blade

I will do a bit more here tommorow.
