Test post for a newbie
« on: February 09, 2007, 07:17:30 PM »
Hello, I'm a new guy although I've been reading the board for about a year.

Many thanks to DanF for helping with getting membership sorted out. Week computer skills.

I'm on Simmcoe Island at the far East end of Lake Ontario. It is a grid tied cottage and my RE system is for my shop and backup power.Wind is excellent and some times scary. The system is a GM clone pma on a 25'tv tower charging 6 large wet starting batteries (we call them 8Ds approx. 200ahr each I think)and a 3kw Inverter.I need a wind gauge I guess but I get 3-5 amps in a stiff breeze,6-8 in a gale.

I'll have some questions later in the newbies section but for now I just wanted to say thanks for all the great reading. Lots of fun.

Hey! I know where you are.

I caught a 6' eel on the south east side of that island.

One Creepy Critter.

Everyone there asked, so yes, we brought it in the boat.

Now I know better.  :(
