Tower work
« on: May 10, 2009, 11:22:08 AM »
Been working on 75' tilt down tower. Almost ready to go. Had 50 mph gust yesterday while putting up gin pole. Want to test raise tomorrow. Tower is for Dan built 10'

Looks like a job well done.. I bet you can't wait to have the turbine running atop of it :)

Nothing's as easy as drilling a hole in the wrong place

Curious just exactly what material you used for the tower?

If I ever figure out what's in the box then maybe I can think outside of it.

I used 42' sections for less joints. 42' + 21' + 7' from gin pole (42 - 35 = 7) total about 75'

The blades can change color.  That is a cool trick!

I just figured the color change was doppler shift due to the speed of the prop? Hehe.

Nice set up. How is it that the blades change color?
