Ron, That was wonderful. I have no idea how you managed to unravel it all. I thought I had been most diligent and careful in following the recommended instructions.

Just for the information of everybody the photographs were taken at a hawker stall in Hong Kong on Tuesday afternoon. The stall contains all sort of shapes and sizes. Please note the very large monster magnets in one photo. They are 2 inches x 2 inches x 1 inch. The hawker said they were very dangerous and after I saw him trying to pull them apart I can quite believe him.

As you can see there are all sorts of sizes and shapes. There are some DC motors as well including an Ametek 40 volt nominal unit. This sells for about HK$250 or US$33.

Cordially yours and thanks,

Dave HK

David perhaps you can arrange to export some of these to our hosts so they can sell them to US.
