Wincharger Air Brake system

I'm curious how Scotts Wincharger air brake system is working with the dual rotor setup? I was about to start building some new blades when I came across 2 or 3 sets of old Wincharger Air brakes. I think I might try building a 10 or 12 foot single blade and mounting an airbrake on it. Anybody else try these yet?

  If you thought you wanted a direct replacement Wincharger Blade or blades for your air brakes you describe check out my recent post here http://www.fieldlines.com/story/2007/2/21/3919/03252 Dave carves these on his machine and they are beautiful and at a very fair price. He had several in stock just recently and I believe a couple were single blade 12 footers ? His e-mail is listed there also.  Dave B.

 I knew you had the 10' shown but you mention 12' also, Dave can carve pretty much the length you want and of any wood species. I can't wait to try these out.  Dave B.

I copied the scheme on a small machine once. Needed great skill to keep it balanced as the fan blades opened but if you have the real thing it may not be an issue.

Two blades are not without their problems and the inertia of the brake device doesn't cure all the yaw vibration but you should be able to live with it.

You will have to check that the operating speed will give you protection at the speed to suit your alternator, I am not sure about the big ones but the small Wincharger was fast.

You might add there some more weight?

But a problem is that with these moving pieces of the brake device the inertia is changing, too.

But what about two brake devices 90 degrees apart?
