YaHOOO, got my house wiring done today!
« on: March 07, 2005, 01:03:21 AM »
Hey all,

Just got my Inverter circuits hardwired today.

(This is off grid suplimental power)

Ran one circuit to the refrigerator for emergency backup,

on the same circuit I put a recept. in the living room for inverter power to use for whatever.

Ran another circuit to the home office and master bedroom for inverter power standby or to supliment grid power.

Here's the post giving a bit more detail to my latest project.

Here's a link to some photos of my system.

Boy am I happy to have the wiring done, sure hate climbing around under the house, it's a pain ... but it's done now!

So anyway, I'm pretty excited having things set up so I can just flip a couple of breakers and the inverter power is up and runnin' ... this is what it's all about ... I'm takin' a break and havin' a beer ... YaHOOOOO!

This pretty much makes it a working, usable system.

arc,

Next is to get them running something totally without the grid!

You are hooked.  It is way too late for you now.  You have seen power from nothing.

You need more charging, then more batteries, a bigger windmill, more solar... even an over unity machine!

You have a pretty serious setup for your 'current' charging capabilities. IMHO.

Congrats!

More & bigger Neo's! (light bulb flashes over head), a 3 phase conversion! (hysterical laughter), a greater wind swept area! (mad hand wringing), T-105 bank (another outburst of hysterical laughter) ...

... as for running something "totally off grid", how 'bout my dsl modem, wireless network and iPaq w/wireless card (with which, I am currently writing this thread) ... does that count?

Thanks for the encouragement!

Looks exactly like where I plan on heading . I wanted to start by getting the computers off grid and possibly having some backup.

Nice job.
