brush alternator

i have a brush alternator st series from china

the aux winding used for producing the field excitation is shown in drawing as the stator harmonic is this correct or should it be the field harmonic

this is a little confusing there is no avr and it relies on correct speed of prime mover for voltage and hz , cansome one explain this do you think i can fit a after market avr to this
