Report KD 715 about the VIRYA-10 availble
« on: October 12, 2021, 08:41:24 AM »
Report KD 715 can be copied for free from my website: www.kdwindturbines.nl at the menu KD-reports. The title of this report is: "Calculations executed for the 3-bladed rotor of the VIRYA-10 windmill (lambda design = 6) with the pendulum safety system with a torsion spring connected to the generator TGET770-H-10KW-100R for grid connection". This wind turbine has a new safety system for which the rotor turns backwards around a horizontal axis and for which the weight moment is counterbalanced by a torsion spring. This makes that the rotor moment is almost constant above the design wind speed. This safety system therefore has almost the ideal characteristics and the rotational speed, the power and the thrust are therefore limited sharply. This safety system is described in detail in public report KD 439. This wind turbine is grid connected and meant to supply an important part of the energy needed by a group of houses for powering the heat pumps.
