I found a real nice Rotor and Spindle assembly

it's from a Caddy

part# 7470595

year 1990-1993 Cadillac Deville & Fleetwood


Looks sweet doesnt it??

im going to the junkyard find me one of them puppys,that nice,i think that would work fine.it looks new did you order it from autoparts or found it?  para t8

I got one today !! i just called the Junk Yard ,and asked for a wheel hub for the 1990-1993 Cadillac Deville or  Fleetwood, they had four!

The one i ended up with was actually from a bonneville !

man it spins sweetly

this is it cleaned up.

The Bolt circle dia. is ~ 4.527" , and the whole plate is 5.910 dia.

I quess GM has been making these for some time as this one is from a  '88 Bonneville ..

I think i'll keep that brake drum backing plate  .

Its 11" in dia,and should make a nice stator holder.





this is it before cleaning..




, and the mountings seem perfect for a  furling pivot point..







this is it with the brake pads and the wheel cylinder on there .

I saw on the net where somone made a load cell out of a wheel cylinder and a pressure gage.

Ok, now I feel stupid, I have an 88 and an 89 Bonnie in my back yard, Neither has it's engine, and one is missing the entire front end.  I think before I have the wrecking yard haul them off (they are required to here) I'll snag those bearings along with the other misc. junk I want off of them...  Thanks for the tip!

I am glad I stumbled on to this post, I ordered my magnets today from Wondermagnet.

I will have to wait a week or so because I live in Canada for delivery but, I was just about to buy a trailor hub before I saw this post.I have an 1989 Oldsmobile junker and after reading this post I went out to have a look at the rear and there was the hub.Thanks for the tip.

ding check out my other post the one on making a lathe..

you may be able to use the front wheel hub instead..
