controlling my 1700 watt turbine?
« on: July 17, 2005, 01:22:56 PM »
I am wireing the alternator for a 48 volt system. What would be a great set up for getting 110 into the house? How many bateries, and how they hook up? Are they 12 volt bateries hooked up somehow to get 48, or are they 48 volt to start with? How many should I buy? whats a good inverter to get and so on. I am starting from scratch so help me make a good system.

You will learn a lot by searching and reading the results.  You will also see this is not the first time this question had been answered and you will have more questions that have already beeen answered. Type, capacity, and reserve questions will arise.  You will find YOU need to formulate ideas and measure the power you are using now and how you can reduce that.

In the process you will get a feel for those who know what they write about and those more full of manure than substance.
